NDPE Implementation Reporting: Webinar Insights
In June 2020, Efeca hosted a significant webinar on the No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation Implementation Reporting Framework (NDPE IRF), featuring representatives from Proforest and AAK. This webinar delved into the critical role of the IRF in enhancing sustainability within palm oil supply chains. The NDPE IRF addresses significant gaps in current sustainability efforts by providing a structured framework for companies to report on their implementation of no deforestation, no peat, and no exploitation commitments. These commitments are crucial for mitigating the environmental and social impacts associated with palm oil production.
One of the primary drivers behind the creation of the NDPE IRF was the need for transparency and accountability in palm oil sourcing practices. By establishing clear reporting mechanisms, the IRF helps companies demonstrate their adherence to sustainability principles and track progress over time.
